How to adjust the focal point?

You are not able to directly set the values for the near and the far plane. However you can adjust the position of your focal point and the center of intrest to fit your needs.

As you can see in the picture above the near plane and the far plane have a fixed position. The near plane is always 0.3 and the fare plane 3.0 away from your focal center point (eye, camera).

In order to adjust it you have  to move your center of interest (COI) to the position you want. Hold Ctrl down and click on the component you like. The selected point will be choosen as your current COI.

To clarify the above, the distances given are relative to the COI, i.e. the near clipping plane is 0.3 times the distance from the eye to the COI, and the far clipping plane is at 3 times that distance.

The distance between the eye and the COI can be adjusted by zooming the camera in or out.
